Terms of service

The short version

Use Pebzli to build habits. Don't use it to harass people, break laws, or hack the service. We'll do our best to keep it running; you use it at your own risk.

Your account

Pebzli creates an anonymous account the first time you open the app. You can optionally sign in with email, Apple, or Google to back up your habits across devices. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Pebzli. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need your parent or guardian's permission.

Your habits are yours

The habits, names, icons, and completion history you create belong to you. You give us a limited license to store and display them so the app can work — nothing more. If you delete your account, the license ends and we delete the data.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• attempt to access another user's data or the service's infrastructure in a way you aren't authorized to;
• reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app except where that right is explicitly granted by law;
• use the app to abuse, harass, or impersonate anyone;
• flood the service with automated traffic, scrape it, or use it to build a competing product;
• circumvent any payment, trial, or rate limit.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We try to do that proportionately and with notice where we can.

Subscriptions and trials

Pebzli is free for up to three active habits. Pebzli Plus unlocks unlimited habits, widgets, and custom reminder times. You can start a seven-day free trial; after the trial the subscription auto-renews at the price shown at purchase.

Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple or Google. To cancel or change a subscription, use the subscription settings in the App Store or Play Store. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refund requests go through Apple or Google per their policies.

If you are charged by mistake, email support@pebzli.com within 30 days and we'll help work through it with the store on your behalf.

Notifications

If you grant notification permission, Pebzli schedules gentle reminders on your device at the windows you choose. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app or in your system settings. Pebzli is designed to be quiet — it doesn't escalate, guilt-trip, or use red.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service running but don't guarantee it will be available every minute of every day. We may add, remove, or change features over time. When we make changes that meaningfully affect you — especially price or billing — we'll give you notice in the app or by email before they take effect.

"As is" — no warranty

Pebzli is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any data will be perfectly preserved.

Limits on liability

To the extent allowed by law, Pebzli and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or opportunity. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD 50.

Some jurisdictions don't allow limits on certain warranties or liability; in those places the clauses above apply to the extent permitted by law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims brought against us that arise out of your misuse of the service or your violation of these terms. We'll let you know promptly if a claim arises and work with you on the response.

Termination

You can stop using Pebzli at any time — Settings → Data → Delete everything removes your account and data. We can suspend or terminate your access if you break these terms or create a security or legal risk for the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If the changes are meaningful we'll update the date above and surface a notice in the app. Continuing to use Pebzli after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts, except where applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to sue elsewhere.
